During the month of February, it is Ovarian Cancer AwarenessMonth and PDC Medical Centre Victoria Park is here to help people understandOvarian Cancer, the risks and assist with earlier detection of symptoms of OvarianCancer. PDC Medical Centre is also here to provide support, information, and educationto support people living with Ovarian Cancer and their families.

What can you do?

It is important to know your own body and be aware of the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer. Unfortunately, there is no screening test available for Ovarian Cancer and knowing the symptoms for earlier detection is the best way.

What are the symptoms?

• Abdominal bloating or increased abdominal size
• Abdominal or pelvic pain
• Appetite loss, feeling full quickly or     indigestion
• Urinary changes such as frequency or urgency
• Changes in bowel habits, such as constipation
• Unexplained weight loss or weight gain
• Unexplained fatigue
